General terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply when you, as a consumer, place an order in the Kosmos online store (“kosmos online store”). The agreement between you and Kosmos for the delivery of the products you have ordered will take effect when you receive the delivery confirmation.
In order to shop in the Kosmos online store, you must be over 18 years of age and otherwise legally competent, ie you are not under guardianship. If you are under the age of 18, you must have a guardian’s permission to order from us.
We reserve the right to possible delivery delays and out of stock products, as well as possible technical defects, typographical or typographical errors. We reserve the right to change pricing errors before and after order processing.

Delivery and ordering


Pickup from post offices. If you have provided a phone number, you will receive a message when your package can be picked up. Otherwise, the arrival notification will be sent by post. You can track the progress of your package through the OmaPosti mobile app. Delivery in a climate-friendly way by Posti Green.
Your package will remain at the pick-up point according to the terms of the mail, after which it will be sent back to the online store.

Partial deliveries
Kosmos does not use partial deliveries if one or more items in the order cannot be delivered. Instead, goods that are deliverable will be delivered and goods that are not deliverable will be refunded to you. Of course, if the amount of your purchase initially exceeds € 50, you will not be charged for shipping.

Delivery costs
If the total amount of your order exceeds 50 euros, shipping is free after deducted discounts. If the total amount of your order is less than 50 euros, we will charge a shipping fee.

Non-retrievable package
Your package will be stored at the Post's pick-up point in accordance with the Post's terms and conditions.

If you have paid for your order but have not picked it up, your order will not be refunded.

Kosmos Beauty Lab's right to refuse orders. 
Kosmos reserves the right to refuse orders, for example, if the order includes discounts that you have not received directly from Kosmos, or to refuse product samples for recurring orders below a certain amount.

Force majeure
Kosmos shall not be obliged to execute the trade in the event of an obstacle that Kosmos cannot avoid or overcome or if the execution would require Kosmos to take actions that are not reasonable taking into account the customer's interest in Kosmos executing the trade. The Customer is also not entitled to compensation for damage caused to him due to Kosmos' delay or error if the delay or error is due to an obstacle beyond Kosmos's control which Kosmos cannot reasonably be expected to have taken into account at the time of the transaction and the consequences of which Kosmos did not nor could it reasonably have been avoided or overcome.

Order and delivery confirmation / receipt
Once you have completed your order, you will receive an order confirmation email. If you do not receive an order confirmation, please ensure that your email address is spelled correctly and notify Kosmos Customer Service so that we can resend the confirmation to you.

Exchange, right of return and complaint
The customer has a 14-day exchange and return right for e-commerce purchases in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. The right of return only applies to unused and marketable products in the original packaging.

The refund is free of charge for the customer. If you would like to make a refund, please contact our customer service via email or phone.
We do not accept returns more than 14 days after delivery. Once the refund is accepted, the money will be refunded to the payment method used for the original payment.

Problem situations during transport and for defective products
If the product has been lost during transport, damaged or the wrong product has been delivered to the customer, the customer must immediately notify our customer service of the error. Notification of incorrect delivery or defective product must be made within 14 days of receipt of the product.
If the package is damaged during transport, a complaint must be made about the product immediately at Posti or Matkahuolto's office.

Allergic reaction
If you have had an allergic reaction to any of the products you have purchased from Kosmos, you can contact our Customer Service. We never record information about your health or make recommendations regarding your health or allergic reactions. Please notice, we highly recommend that you carefully read the instructions and components of each product you purchase, before use. We also recommend that you test the product on a small area of your skin before use. 

Terms of payment

Secure payment
Checkout is a secure payment method for you. The service is maintained by Checkout Finland Oy (business ID 2196606-6) and Checkout Finland Oy is part of OP Financial Group.

The checkout payment service will forward your payment to us.

The online store acts as a marketer of products and services and as a supplier of products to the customer. The online store takes care of the statutory and other obligations related to the transaction. If you want to complain or return the product, you should contact the online store where the product was ordered directly.

Bank charges

You have payment buttons for all Finnish banks at your disposal. You can pay with the payment buttons of Aktia, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea, Oma Säästöpankki, Osuuspankki, POP Bank, Säästöpankki, S-pank and Ålandsbanken. Your account statement shows Checkout Finland Oy as the payee, they forward your payment to the online merchant. From the online store, you will be directed directly to your own bank to make the payment securely.

Credit card payments

You can pay in the online store for Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Debit MasterCard. The online store uses international Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode. Checkout will appear as the payee on the card invoice and will forward the payment card payment paid by the customer directly to us. Card payments are made securely using a secure payment form and payment card information is not stored in e-commerce systems.

Mobile payment methods

Mobile payment methods Pivo, MobilePay and Transfer are services that work in the application, with which you can pay for online purchases by bank transfer from your account or by card payment from your card by accepting the payment in that application. Pivo also accepts Transfer payments, so the payment can be accepted in any application that supports Transfer.

Invoice and installment services

Invoice and installment services through Checkout are provided by OP, Collector, Jousto and AfterPay. Collector also offers invoice and installment options for corporate customers.

Please also read the more detailed terms for each finance company that you will see when you accept the payment. By accepting the payment, you are also accepting the terms of the finance company.

All our prices are in euros and include VAT. VAT is stated on the order confirmation / receipt.

Gift certificate
The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash, when you return the product you will receive a product refund card. The gift card is valid for 12 months.

Product information and pictures
Kosmos strives to provide as accurate product information as possible. However, we recommend that you always carefully review the product information and list of ingredients on the packaging when you receive your delivery, especially if you are allergic or hypersensitive to any substance.
The packaging of our products may vary in appearance. In some cases, the images may be of a different size than we offer, and therefore the written information about the volume is always decisive. Please note that the color swatches of the products in the Kosmos online store may vary depending on your monitor and your individual display settings.

Kosmos or its licensors own all content on the website. The information is protected under, among other things, intellectual property and market law legislation. This means that trademarks, trade names, product names, images and graphics, designs, layouts or information about products, services and other content may not be copied or used without the prior written consent of Kosmos.

Best before date
Most of our products come with a label that looks like a jar with the lid open. The label reads either 6, 12, or 24 months. This indicates the shelf life of the product from the moment it is opened. Other products have exact date markings.
Please also note that shelf life is affected by how you store and use the product. For example, do not use your fingers but load when taking the skin cream from the jar, otherwise the bacteria will spread easily and the shelf life will be shortened. It is also not a good idea to store beauty products in too warm or direct sunlight.

Applicable law and disputes
In the event of a dispute, Kosmos will comply with the decisions of the Finnish General Consumer Complaints Board. You can lodge a complaint through the EU Dispute Resolution online platform, which can be accessed at
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without prejudice to the provisions of the preceding paragraph.

Changing the terms of the transaction
Kosmos reserves the right to change the terms of the Transaction. Changes to the terms of the transaction will be announced on the website.
